The United States Senate has confirmed Orgain Bell & Tucker, LLP’s partner Michael Truncale to serve as a judge for the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas. The Senate approved the confirmation during a vote on May 14, 2019.
President Donald J. Trump nominated Truncale in January 2018. Truncale, an attorney with Orgain Bell & Tucker, LLP since 1985, will fill the vacancy created when the Honorable Ron Clark assumed senior judge status.

In his 34th year with Orgain Bell & Tucker, LLP, Truncale handled a wide range of litigation matters, including product liability and commercial disputes. He also has extensive experience in alternative dispute resolution, serving as a mediator in more than 2,000 cases in in the Eastern District of Texas and in state courts throughout Texas.
Truncale graduated magna cum laude in 1978 from Lamar University, his M.B.A. from the University of North Texas, and his J.D. from the Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law. He is also Board Certified in civil trial by the National Board of Trial Advocacy and is Board Certified in personal injury trial law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.
