Laurel Henagan is a dedicated attorney with a focus on protecting the interests of businesses and individuals in legal disputes. With a few years of experience in the field, Laurel has quickly built a reputation for providing thoughtful, strategic, and effective legal representation.

Originally from Lake Charles, Louisiana, Laurel earned her bachelor's degree in history from Oklahoma State University, where she developed a strong foundation in critical thinking and problem solving. She then went on to study law at the University of Tulsa College of Law, where she gained a deep interest in civil litigation, particularly in matters related to contract disputes and insurance defense. During law school, Laurel was actively involved in legal clinics, judicial internships, and the Energy Law Journal, further sharpening her advocacy skills.

Upon graduating from law school, Laurel moved to Washington D.C. to work with various nonprofit organizations, including the National Legal Aid and Defense Association before returning to her southern roots. After passing the Texas bar exam, Laurel began her legal career working for the Houston-based firm Fleming, Nolen, and Jez until transitioning to Beaumont to be closer to her hometown and practice civil defense. Despite being early in her career, Laurel's work ethic, attention to detail, and determination have quickly made her a trusted attorney in the field. 

In addition to her legal practice, Laurel is a member of the Texas Bar Association and the Jefferson County Young Lawyer's Association where she continues to enhance her skills through ongoing legal education and professional development. She is also committed to contributing to the community through volunteer work with drug rehab support centers and local church involvement. 

Outside of her professional life, Laurel enjoys spending time with her family and friends, needlepointing, hiking, and skiing. She believes in maintaining a balanced approach to life to complement her passion for the law. Laurel is committed to carrying the legacy of OBT with a focus on client-centered legal service and a dedication to defending clients' rights.
